Beyond Fashionable Creativity

On the weekend my mother in law handed me a liftout from the Herald Sun featuring images inside the home of a Melbourne based architect and his wife - Megan Hess.

Until I read through the article I did not realise that some of the beautiful artworks (bar the stunning array of Audrey Hepburn images that hung on the walls as well) were Megan's personal works.

Her simplistic use and placement of colour (or sometimes no colour at all) in her digital designs compliment the bold, loose lines of the sketches.

I will forever agree with the term 'K.I.S.S.' Keep it simple, stupid!

Talk about clientele!

Florence Broadhurst.
What can I say other than that she is a huge inspiration by way of her legacy and what she has left us, not to mention it was almost lost forever had someone not stumbled across some old screens hiding in the back of a large shed collecting dust.

Every time I cast my eye over her infamous designs, I am constantly in awe of how she and her designers used and interpreted colour into each and every piece.

If anything, go and buy the book. It is well worth a look and something to gain much inspiration from!

If my posts look at all messy, please bear with me as I get used to the whole 'blogging' way of things. :)

Spring Racing season is on! I am not an avid race goer, i've actually never been to one! But the fashion and styling is definitley something to WOW at. The colour choices this year are bold, fun and out of the ordinary.

Check out these new season stunners by Mollini! The blue is to die for.....
